Privacy Policy
NaukriCV (“we”, “the service”) is operated by Ankit Mansinghani, an individual based in Ahmedabad, India, acting as the data controller. This policy explains what we collect when you use the service, why we collect it, who else processes it, and how you get it removed.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, and a display name if you provide one. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we never see or store your password.
- Resumes you upload. Uploaded PDF, Word or Markdown files are converted to plain text. If you choose to save a resume, that extracted text is stored against your account so you can reuse it. The original file is not retained.
- Job descriptions you submit, along with the outputs of each run: the gap analysis, match score, compliance flags, the rewritten resume and its change log.
- Usage metadata. Timestamps, which country rulepack was used, remaining credits, and the token counts and estimated cost of each run.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics, and we do not sell personal data.
Why we collect it
To deliver the service you asked for, to show you your own run history, to enforce the credit allowance on your account, and to monitor our own operating costs. Access to NaukriCV is granted manually, so we also process your account details to review and approve access.
Who else processes your data
Running a tailoring job necessarily means sending your job description and resume text to a large-language-model provider. Our subprocessors are:
- Anthropic and/or OpenAI — process job description and resume text to produce the analysis and rewrite. Which one is used depends on our configuration at the time of the run.
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting for everything described above.
- Vercel — application hosting and request logs.
These providers process data on our instructions under their own terms. We do not submit your data for use in training third-party models, and our providers’ business terms do not permit it. Data may be processed outside your country of residence, including in the United States.
How long we keep it
Saved resumes and run history are kept until you delete them or close your account. You can delete any saved resume from within the app at any time.
You can close your account yourself using Delete Account in the app. That deletion is immediate, not scheduled: it removes your profile, every saved resume, and your entire run history — including the job description text stored with each run. If you instead ask us to close your account by email, we action it within 30 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to processing, or to complain to a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these, email ankitmansinghani21@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Database access is restricted by row-level security so your resumes and runs are readable only by your own account. No system is perfectly secure, and you should not upload information you would not be willing to put on a resume — NaukriCV is not a suitable place for government identifiers, financial account numbers, or health information.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and notify account holders by email.
